Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers’ skill sets are defined areas of service within
the Volunteer
Department. Skills sets have been developed to offer our volunteers opportunities
for growth and to maintain high levels of competency. Skill sets may vary
with service area location and may require additional training.
Opportunities to serve may include:
Direct Care Volunteers:
| Adult patient care | |
| Pediatric team | |
| Inpatient volunteer units | |
| Pet Therapy team | |
| Vigil volunteers | |
| Bereavement volunteers |
Indirect Care Volunteers:
| Administrative support | |
| Special Projects |
Volunteer selection begins with an application and interview where potential volunteers may express their personal goals, availability, interests and talents. Volunteers are carefully screened through a criminal background check, motor vehicle report, and personal references.
