For those with Medicare, the Medicare Hospice Benefit covers a patient’s time on hospice with no co-pays or fees. Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care will bill Medicare, Medicaid, and/or private insurers for the cost of hospice care. Medicare and Medicaid provide full coverage of hospice care while private insurers may have a cost share or co-payment associated with hospice care. An annual deductible and/or out-of-pocket maximum may also apply for private insurers.

If you have no insurance, we offer a sliding payment scale, as well as charity care for those that qualify. Your Seasons team will work with you to arrange billing with the appropriate party.

Upon referral to Seasons for hospice care, a Seasons Insurance Benefit Specialist will review and validate your hospice care benefits through all insurance providers you report. Our Benefit Specialist will report all covered hospice services and any cost share that may apply from a private insurer, along with any plan exclusions or benefit maximums. To ensure we are able to review and provide complete and accurate coverage information, please be sure to provide your hospice care consultant, or admissions coordinator with all active insurance coverage and cards.

At Seasons, we understand that the cost of healthcare may be a burden to patients and their families. Seasons is proud to offer all patients experiencing financial hardship the option to apply for Financial Assistance. Seasons is here to support our patients and families in their time of need.
